2018 Best Schools in Honolulu

Whether or not we agree with Stacker's analysis of Niche's database of schools, the ranking has been released. The attached article includes the full methodology here, for people really interested in data collection and analysis of this kind of study.

New community partnership with Punahou School

Hokulani is now a PUEO school (Partnerships in Unlimited Educational Opportunities)! We are sending our first student to the program which will start in June of 2018. The program is open to fifth grade students only. We are excited for the student and the student's family. The purpose of this Punahou partnership is to help provide ongoing academic and social skills that will prepare the student for college. Participants attend seven years of summer school classes at Punahou along with three academic/social activities at Punahou during the school year.

Thanks for your patience! Brief power outage this morning 12/05/17.

Thanks for your patience this morning. A power line went down and a transformer in the neighborhood blew. That resulted in a power outage of about two hours. Phones were down. Bells were not working. All things powered by electricity were not available. Through it all, the teachers and staff remained calm, took care of the students, and we made adjustments. Thanks to HECO for responding quickly.
