Free COVID-19 Testing @ Kaimuki High School, Tuesdays from 3-5pm.

There will be free PCR COVID-19 Testing at Kaimuki High School for DOE staff and students on Tuesdays starting 9/14 from 3-5pm in room E101.

Who - DOE Students and Staff;
What - Free COVID-19 PCR Testing;
Where - Kaimuki High School, E101;
When - Tuesdays from 3-5 PM;
Results - Within 4 days.

This is for unvaccinated, vaccinated, symptomatic, exposure, peace of mind, worried, EVERYONE!

Student Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Opt Out Form - Grades 3 - 5.

Hokulani students will be taking a Student Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Survey.
Students will be asked to self reflect on their own social emotional learning skills, such as self-management and self-efficacy.
If you would prefer to have your child opt out of taking the survey, please return or email the bottom portion of the letter attached to their teacher by Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

Notice Parent's Right to Request Teacher Qualification

The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), which became law in December 2015 requires that all teachers meet State Certification or Licensing requirements for the grade level and subject area(s) in which the teacher has been assigned.

Free COVID-19 Test on Wednesday 09/01 at 9am-2pm at Kaimuki High School

Project Vision will be at Kaimuki High School gym to provide free PCR testing to everyone who wants it on Wednesday 9/01/21 from 9 AM- 2 PM. This is open to EVERYONE: students, staff, community, family, friends! This is just a one time thing but an awesome opportunity that we can provide to our community as we all know how challenging it can be to get a test right now.
Who - Everyone;
What - Free PCR COVID-19 Testing;
Where - Kaimuki High School Gym;
When - 9 AM - 2 PM;
What to bring - ID, insurance card (if have) and completed form pages 1-2 (attached below, minors need parental consent);
Results - usually in 24 hours, notified by email or phone.

Updated Student Travel Policy: Student travelers must follow all applicable state and county rules at the time of the trip, including compliance with any required quarantine periods.

The Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) follows federal, state, and county-issued travel requirements and may implement supplementary guidance in order to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 virus and maintain the health and safety of school campuses.

There are three (3) options for students returning from out-of-state travel:
1. Be fully vaccinated prior to the start of out-of-state travel and provide proof of vaccination to the school;
2. Obtain a COVID-19 test after return and submit a negative test result to the school; or
3. Quarantine for 10 days after return.
