Dear Hokulani Parents & Guardians of Students in Grades K-5. Your feedback about Hokulani school is important to us. We respectfully request a few moments of your time to complete the School Quality Survey (SQS), which will remain anonymous in order to gather honest responses. As a parent/guardian, this is your opportunity for your voice to be heard. A similar survey is also being administered online to teachers and school staff.  Parents/guardians may respond to one survey per child. You may complete the SQS Parent Survey by filling out the survey form that will be sent home on Thursday, January 17, 2019.

Koali Parking

The Koali parking lot is only used for special events like the first two weeks of school. The reason why the lot is not open every day is that it doesn't really belong to our school, even though we use it more frequently than other entities. It is a City and County lot that goes through a residential area, via a private road. Our neighbors are tolerant about special event parking but the road is not available for every day use. The road is narrow and are really suited for the tight knit residential area. The parks and recreation vehicles also use the road and back gates for their work.

Some of the special events that prompt the opening of the Koali lot include the following but are not limited to:
  • Open House and Orientation
  • First two weeks of school
  • Parent-Teacher Conferences
  • Grade Level Parent Luncheons/Picnic
  • Quarterly Awards Assembly
  • Fall Fair/Spring Bonanza
  • Holiday/Winter Assembly
  • Fun Run
  • Grade 3 Market Day
  • Grade 5 Aloha Assembly
