Hokulani Technology Program

The goal of Hokulani’s technology media program is to assist Hokulani students to be effective and ethical users of technology.

Vision
Students and teachers use electronic resources with skill and confidence to accomplish their goals. They choose to use technology resources in appropriate ways to enhance and advance learning.

Mission
Ensure that technological resources are available and effectively used by students, teachers and the Hokulani Community to support and enhance authentic learning, communication, and collaboration experiences within the school and beyond.

All Hokulani students in kindergarten thru Grade 5 receive instruction in digital literacies at least once a week. Sessions are held in the classrooms using Chromebooks or in the technology lab. Project times are allocated for completion of ongoing curriculum activities. Coverage for the rotated articulation periods is provided to allow classroom teachers time to plan together. Additional computers in the Library and classrooms supplement instruction and aid in project production. Open computer lab times are available for teachers to schedule additional project activities and provide access to on-line resources.
